Bruce Thomson

Bruce has been the Director, Finance and Administration of the Nova Scotia and Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) for the last 16 years. Prior to his current position at NSGEU, he held various financial roles and responsibilities with Maritime Tel and Tel and its subsidiaries. Bruce has a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia.

In addition to Bruce’s appointment as a Director of the PSSPTI, for the past thirteen years he has represented the NSGEU as a Trustee on the Nova Scotia Health Employees’ Pension Plan (NSHEPP); the last four years being either Chair or Co-Chair. Bruce also is a member of the NSHEPP Investment Committee.
